What Are Nightly Notes?
- They're the opposite of Morning Pages.
- So they're written at night instead of first thing in the morning.
- They are typed instead of handwritten,
- They're public instead of private,
- They're guided by questions instead of flowing freely
- A completed entry consists of six questions and six answers instead of three pages
- Since they are public others are allowed to comment on them
For an interesting variation on daily writing see 100 words.
"To be really great in little things, to be truly noble and heroic in
the insipid details of everyday life, is a virtue so rare as to be worthy
of canonization."
Harriet Beecher Stowe as quoted by Angeles Arrien
in Signs of Life page 63

Tonight's Questions and Answers
Saturday, November 08, 2003
It is 10:47 pm.
- who impressed me the most today? The inventor of the Dewey cataloging system
- what did I do all day? aimlessly wandered (mentally), read, catalogued books, started piecing a quilt top for a high school
- when did I leave the house today? 9:48 am by accident
- where did I go today? community center (wrong day!)
- why didn't I get more done today? slow start
- Question for you? *If you could change one thing about your life what would it be? email me
you know I just thought, "if people had emailed me with answers and I didn't recognize the address and/or they didn't reference this blog in the subject line I most likely would have deleted them! That's why I haven't received any replys. That must be it. Anyway, I'm going to make a board at multipurposewoman. Then the hundreds of people who have been responding by email, and being seemingly ignored, can write at the board. And everyone can enjoy and muse about everyone else's answer.
